Lipoedema

Lipoedema is a long-term condition that is prevalent in women.

It is characterised by the accumulation of fat below the waist, which can result in the hips, buttocks and legs looking pear-shaped and out of proportion with the upper body. Less commonly, lipoedema can also affect the upper arms.
